الوصف الوظيفي:

الغرض الرئيسي:
سيتولى المستشار التربوي مسؤولية تقديم جلسات استشارات تعليمية وداعمة للمرضى، باتباع بروتوكولات وإجراءات منظمة أطباء بلا حدود في مجالات الطب والصحة النفسية، بهدف تحسين الحالة النفسية والاجتماعية للمستفيدين.

المهام والمسؤوليات الرئيسية:

• تحديد احتياجات المرضى النفسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية والإدارية.

• الترويج الفعّال لوجود خدمات الاستشارات النفسية، وتنفيذ جلسات فردية أو جماعية للمستفيدين وعائلاتهم لتخفيف الضغوط النفسية والاجتماعية.

• إحالة المرضى إلى اختصاصيين آخرين أو مؤسسات أخرى لتقديم الدعم المتخصص.

• المشاركة في إعداد المواد اللازمة لأنشطة الاستشارات النفسية.

• الحفاظ على سجلات الأنشطة اليومية والمشاركة في اجتماعات الفريق لمناقشة الحالات الخاصة ومشاركة الخبرات مع الزملاء، مع الحفاظ على سرية المعلومات.

• إبلاغ المدير المباشر بأي مشكلة تنشأ أثناء تنفيذ الأنشطة اليومية.

• المشاركة في تدريبات وإشراف الفريق ودعم الأنشطة التعليمية لأعضاء منظمة أطباء بلا حدود أو شركائها الخارجيين في مجال الصحة النفسية.

المهام الخاصة بأطباء بلا حدود:

• تقديم جلسات استشارات فردية وجماعية للمرضى الذين يعانون من اضطرابات نفسية مثل القلق والاكتئاب والصدمات النفسية.

• تقديم الدعم النفسي الأولي والعاطفي للمرضى المتأثرين بالأزمات أو التشريد أو التوتر الشديد.

• تقييم احتياجات المرضى، ووضع خطط علاجية، وتقديم العلاج قصير الأمد أو إحالتهم إلى خدمات صحية نفسية طويلة الأمد.

• استخدام تقنيات علاجية مبنية على الأدلة مثل العلاج السلوكي المعرفي، العلاج الموجه نحو الصدمات، وتقنيات الاسترخاء لدعم عملية التعافي.

• الاستجابة للاحتياجات النفسية العاجلة بما في ذلك تقديم رعاية نفسية للمتضررين من الحروب أو الكوارث الطبيعية أو الحالات الطارئة الأخرى.

• مساعدة المرضى على معالجة أعراض الصدمات الحادة ومرافقتهم في مراحل التعافي.

• إجراء تقييمات للمخاطر بالنسبة للمرضى المعرضين لخطر الأذى لأنفسهم أو للآخرين وتوفير التدخلات المناسبة.

• العمل بشكل تعاوني مع أعضاء الفريق الطبي وغير الطبي في وحدة الصحة المتنقلة لضمان تلبية احتياجات المرضى الصحية والنفسية.

المتطلبات:

• درجة بكالوريوس أو دبلوم مهني في الاستشارات أو العمل الاجتماعي أو علم النفس أو أي مجال مشابه.

• خبرة لا تقل عن سنة في وظيفة مشابهة.

• إجادة تامة للغة العربية والإنجليزية.

• معرفة شاملة باستخدام أدوات مايكروسوفت أوفيس.

Job Description:

Main Purpose:
The Education Counselor will perform counseling and/or educational sessions for patients following various medical and mental health MSF protocols and procedures to improve their psychosocial conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify the psychosocial, socio-economic, and administrative needs of patients.

• Actively promote the availability of counseling services and conduct individual or group counseling sessions, as well as basic psycho-educational sessions, to patients and their families (when needed), to alleviate psychosocial difficulties within the project scope.

• Refer patients to other specialists or institutions for further assistance as needed, ensuring they receive the best available support.

• Participate in the creation of materials needed for counseling activities and ensure their maintenance.

• Keep files and statistics of daily activities, and participate in team meetings to share experiences and discuss special cases with other counselors while maintaining confidentiality.

• Inform the line manager of any problems arising during day-to-day activities.

• Actively participate in training, supervision/intervisions, and assist the activity manager when necessary in raising awareness for MSF staff or external partners on mental health and psychosocial issues.

MSF Specific Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions for patients dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD.

• Offer psychological first aid and emotional support to patients affected by crises, displacement, or severe stress.

• Assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and provide short-term therapy or referrals to long-term mental health services.

• Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and relaxation techniques to support recovery.

• Respond to urgent mental health needs, providing trauma-informed care to individuals affected by war, natural disasters, or emergencies.

• Help patients process acute trauma symptoms and guide them through recovery stages.

• Conduct risk assessments for patients at risk of self-harm or harming others and provide appropriate interventions.

• Educate patients and communities about mental health issues, stress management, coping strategies, and available support services.

• Work collaboratively with medical and non-medical staff on the MMU team to address both physical and mental health needs of patients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or technical degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar position.

• Proficiency in both Arabic and English.

• Full proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.
