وأشار البيان إلى أن الحديث عن ظهور مذيعات يرتدين رموزًا مسيحية، هو محاولة لتحريف صورة تلفزيون لبنان واعتباره يمثل طائفة معينة فقط، في حين أن القناة كانت وستبقى شاشة وطنية جامعة لا تتبنى أي رموز دينية منذ تأسيسها. كما شدد المركز على ضرورة احترام العرف التاريخي في تلفزيون لبنان الذي يقضي بعدم إظهار أو ارتداء أي رموز دينية على الشاشة، حرصًا على الوحدة الوطنية في ظل الظروف الدقيقة التي يمر بها لبنان.

وأكد المركز الكاثوليكي أن الإعلامية ندى صليبا الشويري، المديرة العامة المساعدة في تلفزيون لبنان، تعرضت للاتهام بأنها ارتدت صليبًا بعد ظهورها في صورة وهي ترتدي عقدًا بسيطًا يحتوي على وردتين صغيرتين. واعتبر المركز أن هذه الاتهامات هي “افتراءً متعمدًا أو التباسًا من البعض”، وأن ما تم نشره على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي كان مضللًا وغير دقيق.

إعلامية نايلة شهوان: تقبّل الملاحظة وتجاوبها مع القواعد

كما تطرق البيان إلى الإعلامية نايلة شهوان، التي ظهرت في إحدى المرات وهي ترتدي صليبًا. وأوضح أن شهوان تلقت ملاحظة في شهر أغسطس 2023 بعدم تكرار ارتداء الصليب، وأنها استجابت لهذه الملاحظة بكل احترام دون استغلالها لأغراض طائفية أو سياسية. وذكر البيان أنه في ذلك الوقت لم تصدر أي احتجاجات من بكركي أو المركز الكاثوليكي، احترامًا لأنظمة المؤسسة وتزامنًا مع نهجها المعتدل.

دور تلفزيون لبنان في الحفاظ على التنوع والحيادية

وأكد المركز الكاثوليكي أن تلفزيون لبنان يعد نموذجًا للتنوع المهني والإعلامي، حيث يضم إعلاميين من مختلف الطوائف دون أن تظهر أي هوية دينية أو طائفية على الشاشة. واعتبر أن استخدام قضية معينة حاليًا لمحاولة تغيير هذا النهج هو “أمر مرفوض ومشبوه”، داعيًا إلى احترام المبادئ المهنية وعدم ممارسة أي ضغوط على وزير الإعلام الدكتور بول مرقص لاتخاذ قرارات تخالف القواعد التي تسير عليها المؤسسة.

The Center described these allegations as “deliberate slander or confusion by some,” and emphasized that the misleading information circulating on social media was false and inaccurate.

Naela Shahwan: Acknowledging the Feedback and Adhering to the Rules

The statement also addressed Naela Shahwan, a journalist who once appeared wearing a cross. It explained that Shahwan received feedback in August 2023 not to repeat the action, and she accepted the feedback respectfully without using it for sectarian or political purposes.
