أعلن وزير الإعلام، بول مرقص، بعد جلسة مجلس الوزراء اليوم، أن رئيس الجمهورية جوزاف عون قد أكد أن وزير الداخلية يعمل بشكل جاد على إجراء الانتخابات البلدية في موعدها المحدد. كما أشار إلى أنه سيتم استكمال التعيينات الأمنية، حيث سيتم تعيين أعضاء المجلس العسكري في وقت قريب.
وفيما يخص قطاع التربية والتعليم، أفاد مرقص بالموافقة على طلب وزارة التربية بإعفاء الوزارة من إجراء امتحانات الشهادة المتوسطة لهذا العام، على أن يتم استبدالها بإفادة مدرسية تصدر عن المدارس.
كما كشف مرقص عن عدد من التعيينات الجديدة في السلك القضائي، حيث تم تعيين جمال الحجار مدعياً عاماً للتمييز بالإنابة، وأيمن عويدات رئيساً لهيئة التفتيش القضائي. وأوضح مرقص أنه تم وضع رئيس مجلس شورى الدولة، القاضي فادي الياس، في تصرف رئاسة الحكومة، كما تم تعيين يوسف الجميّل مكانه في هذا المنصب.
وفيما يتعلق بتلفزيون لبنان، أوضح مرقص أن التلفزيون لا يخضع لآلية التعيينات المقررة حاليًا، على الرغم من أن عددًا من الوزراء قد طلبوا أن يخضع للتعيينات الإدارية. وهو أمر عارضه الوزير مرقص واستغربه، معتبراً أن الأمر غير ضروري في هذا الوقت.
من جهة أخرى، أعرب رئيس الحكومة نواف سلام، عقب انتهاء جلسة مجلس الوزراء، عن تحفظه على تعيين كريم سعيد حاكمًا لمصرف لبنان، مشيرًا إلى عدد من الأسباب التي دفعته لعدم دعمه لهذا التعيين. وأوضح سلام أن حرصه على حقوق المودعين كان من أولوياته، معتبرًا أن الحاكم يجب أن يلتزم بالسياسة المالية للحكومة مهما كانت تحفظاته الشخصية عليه. كما أكد على أهمية التفاوض مع صندوق النقد الدولي وإعادة هيكلة المصارف من أجل الحفاظ على حقوق المواطنين.
Here are the Key Decisions of the Cabinet Today!
After the Cabinet session today, Minister of Information, Paul Marqous, announced that President Michel Aoun confirmed that the Minister of Interior is working on holding the municipal elections as scheduled. He also mentioned that the security appointments, including members of the military council, will be completed soon.
Regarding education, Marqous informed that the Cabinet approved the Ministry of Education's request to be exempt from conducting the middle school certificate exams this year, replacing them with school certificates.
Additionally, Marqous announced several new appointments within the judiciary, including the appointment of Jamal Al-Hajjar as Acting Public Prosecutor, and Ayman Oueidat as Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority. He also noted that the President of the State Shura Council, Judge Fadi Elias, has been placed at the disposal of the Prime Minister, with Youssef Jmeel appointed as his replacement.
Regarding Lebanon’s national television, Marqous explained that the television does not follow the scheduled appointment process, although several ministers had requested it to be included in the administrative appointments. He opposed this idea, finding it unnecessary.
On another note, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam expressed his reservations regarding the appointment of Karim Saeed as Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon. He cited several reasons for not supporting the appointment. Salam clarified that his priority has always been protecting the depositors' rights, and emphasized that the governor, regardless of personal reservations, must adhere to the government's financial policies. He also stressed the importance of negotiating with the International Monetary Fund and restructuring the banks to safeguard citizens' rights.
