إزالة صورة ترامب من الكابيتول بعد إثارة استيائه وسخرية منتقديه
تمت إزالة لوحة تجسد الرئيس الأميركي السابق، دونالد ترامب، من مبنى الكابيتول في ولاية كولورادو، وذلك بعد أن أثارت استياءه وسخرية منتقديه. في منشور له على منصته الخاصة “تروث سوشيال” يوم الأحد، نشر ترامب صورة للوحة التي ظهرت في الكابيتول، معبرًا عن انزعاجه منها، ووصفها بأنها “سيئة” ولا تليق به.
من جانبه، أعلن زعيم الأقلية في مجلس الشيوخ في ولاية كولورادو، بول لوندين، وهو عضو في الحزب الجمهوري، أنه طلب إزالة الصورة واستبدالها بأخرى “تظهر شخصيته المعاصرة” وتلائم مكانته. وبدوره، سخر منتقدو ترامب من مطالبته العلنية بإزالة صورته، حيث جاء رد متحدث باسم الحزب الديمقراطي في مجلس النواب في ولاية كولورادو، جاريت فريدمان، قائلاً: “إذا كان الحزب الجمهوري يريد إنفاق الوقت والمال على صورة ترامب التي سيتم تعليقها في مبنى الكابيتول، فهذا الأمر متروك لهم”.

Trump's Portrait Removed from the Capitol After Causing His Displeasure and Mockery
A portrait of former U.S. President Donald Trump was removed from the Colorado Capitol after it sparked his displeasure and the mockery of his critics. On Sunday, Trump shared an image of the painting on his social media platform “Truth Social” and expressed his displeasure, calling it “bad” and unflattering.
Colorado State Senate Minority Leader, Paul Lundeen, a Republican, stated that he had requested the removal of the portrait and its replacement with one that “better represents Trump's contemporary personality.” In response, Trump’s critics mocked his public request to have his portrait removed. Garrett Friedman, a spokesman for the Democratic Party in the Colorado House of Representatives, responded by saying, “If the Republican Party wants to spend time and money on a Trump portrait to be displayed in the Capitol, that's up to them.”
Later, the “Republicans Against Trump” account on social media posted about the incident, calling Trump a “petty child who feels insecure.”
Trump also blamed Colorado Governor Jared Polis, whom he labeled as a “far-left extremist.” Trump commented, “I would rather there be no portrait than the one that exists. The governor should be ashamed of himself!” He further claimed that his image had been “deliberately distorted” and expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that his predecessor, Democratic President Barack Obama, “looks great” in his portrait hanging in the Colorado Capitol.
Trump didn't stop there; he later posted two of his own photos, attempting to show that he preferred these images over the one removed.
