أعلنت وزارة الداخلية السورية في بيان رسمي، عن إلقاء القبض على شادي عادل محفوظ، الذي يُعتبر من أبرز المتورطين في الجرائم التي وقعت خلال أحداث الساحل الأخيرة في سوريا. وكان محفوظ يشغل منصب المسؤول عن التجنيد في شعبة الأمن العسكري التابعة للنظام السابق، حيث ارتكب العديد من الانتهاكات التي تسببت في معاناة كبيرة للمدنيين في تلك الفترة.
يأتي إلقاء القبض على شادي عادل محفوظ في إطار الجهود المتواصلة التي تبذلها الأجهزة الأمنية السورية لملاحقة المتورطين في الجرائم التي ارتكبت خلال سنوات الحرب السورية، لا سيما الجرائم المرتبطة بأعضاء الأجهزة الأمنية التي كانت تعمل تحت إشراف النظام السابق. وتُعد هذه الخطوة جزءًا من حملة مكافحة الفساد والانتهاكات الحقوقية التي تسعى الحكومة السورية لتسليط الضوء عليها، لضمان محاسبة المسؤولين عن تلك الجرائم التي كان لها تأثيرات عميقة على الوضع الأمني والإنساني في البلاد.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن الحملة الأمنية التي تستهدف ملاحقة المجرمين والقتلة، قد أسفرت مؤخرًا عن إلقاء القبض على أحد المتورطين الرئيسيين في مجزرة التضامن الشهيرة. وكان قد تم إدانة كامل شريف العباس دوليًا على خلفية هذه المجزرة البشعة التي وقعت في العاصمة دمشق عام 2013، والتي أودت بحياة أكثر من 500 مدني، في جريمة وصفت بأنها من أبشع الجرائم التي ارتكبت خلال الحرب السورية.
وفي هذا السياق، تعد هذه العمليات جزءًا من استراتيجية الأمن السوري في ملاحقة المجرمين واستعادة الأمن في مختلف المناطق، بالإضافة إلى استعادة حقوق الضحايا، وذلك ضمن جهود لتعزيز العدالة في البلاد وإعادة بناء الثقة بين الشعب السوري والمؤسسات الحكومية.

The Syrian Ministry of the Interior has officially announced the arrest of Shadi Adel Mahfouz, a key figure involved in crimes committed during the recent coastal events in Syria. Mahfouz, who previously held the position of recruitment officer in the Military Security Directorate under the former regime, is accused of numerous violations that caused significant suffering to civilians during that period.
