في إطار جهود المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي لمكافحة الجريمة في لبنان، أصدرت شعبة العلاقات العامة بلاغًا حول توقيف ثلاثة سوريين في منطقة جبيل بتهم متعددة تشمل حيازة المخدرات، ترويج عملة مزيّفة، والابتزاز الجنسي، بالإضافة إلى دخولهم البلاد بطريقة غير شرعية.
في 21 آذار 2025، الساعة الرابعة فجرًا، تلقت وحدة الدرك الإقليمي في مخفر جبيل بلاغًا من دورية تابعة لـ حرس بلدية جبيل تفيد بتوقيف شخصين سوريين يُشتبه في حيازتهما لمواد مخدرة. وبالتحقيق الأولي معهما، تبين أن بحوزتهما حوالي 40 غرامًا من مادة حشيشة الكيف، وحوالى 40 حبة كبتاغون، بالإضافة إلى سكين متعددة الطقات و 150 دولارًا أميركيًا مزيّفًا من فئة الـ 50 دولارًا.
كما تم العثور في الهاتف المحمول المملوك لأحد الموقوفين، المدعو م. ف. (مواليد 1997)، على صور لفتيات عاريات، ومن بينهن قاصرات، ما أثار مزيدًا من الشكوك حول أنشطتهم.
استكملًا للتحقيقات، تم توقيف شخص ثالث يدعى م. ر. (مواليد 2010، سوري) في مكان إقامته، الذي كان يشارك في تعاطي المخدرات مع الموقوفين الآخرين. وأكد م. ر. في التحقيقات أن مجموعة من السوريين كانوا يتوافدون إلى مكان إقامتهم لتعاطي المخدرات، مما يعكس حجم النشاط غير القانوني في المنطقة.

“Sexual Exploitation of Minor Girls”… “Security Forces Take Action!”
As part of its ongoing efforts to combat crime in Lebanon, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces issued a statement from the Public Relations Division regarding the arrest of three Syrians in the Byblos area on charges including drug possession, counterfeit currency distribution, and sexual exploitation, in addition to entering the country illegally.
On March 21, 2025, at 4:00 a.m., the Regional Gendarmerie Unit at Byblos Police Station received a report from a patrol unit of the Byblos Municipality Guard about the arrest of two Syrian nationals suspected of possessing drugs. Upon initial questioning, it was revealed that they were in possession of approximately 40 grams of hashish, around 40 Captagon pills, a multi-purpose knife, and 150 counterfeit US dollars in the denomination of 50 dollars.
Additionally, in the mobile phone of one of the arrested suspects, M. F. (born 1997), authorities found images of naked girls, including minors, raising further suspicions about their activities.
As the investigation progressed, a third individual, M. R. (born 2010, Syrian), was arrested at his residence for his involvement in drug consumption with the other suspects. M. R. confirmed in his interrogation that a group of Syrians had been regularly visiting their residence to consume drugs, highlighting the scale of illegal activities in the area.
Legal actions and security measures are ongoing to curb such criminal activities in Lebanon.
