نتنياهو يُوجه الجيش الإسرائيلي بالتصعيد في لبنان بعد سقوط قذائف على “المطلة”
أصدر رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو تعليمات للجيش الإسرائيلي بالتحرك “بقوة” ضد أهداف في لبنان، وذلك عقب سقوط قذائف صاروخية على بلدة المطلة شمال إسرائيل.
وقال نتنياهو، في بيان صادر عن مكتبه، إن إسرائيل لن تقف مكتوفة الأيدي أمام ما وصفه بـ “التهديدات المستمرة من الجنوب اللبناني”. كما حمل الحكومة اللبنانية المسؤولية الكاملة لما يحدث على أراضيها، مشددًا على أن إسرائيل سترد على أي اعتداء من الأراضي اللبنانية.
وفي اجتماع أمني موسع ضم وزير الأمن الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس وكبار القادة العسكريين، أكد نتنياهو أن “القانون في المطلة هو نفسه القانون في بيروت”، وهو ما يعني أن أي اعتداء على إسرائيل من الأراضي اللبنانية سيكون مقابلًا برد عسكري حاسم.
تنفيذ سلسلة غارات على لبنان
من جانبها، أعلنت وزارة الأمن الإسرائيلية أن الجيش الإسرائيلي بصدد تنفيذ سلسلة غارات تستهدف “عشرات المواقع” في لبنان، ردًا على الهجوم الصاروخي الذي استهدف الجليل الأعلى. وقال رئيس الأركان الإسرائيلي، الجنرال إيال زامير، في تصريحات صباح اليوم السبت، إنه تم تقييم الوضع الأمني بعد إطلاق الصواريخ، مؤكدًا أن إسرائيل سترد على أي اعتداء.
كما أشار زامير إلى أنه لا تغيير في تعليمات الجبهة الداخلية، مما يعني أن الحياة الطبيعية ستستمر في المناطق الحدودية، رغم التصعيد العسكري الحالي.
إسرائيل لن تسمح بإطلاق صواريخ من لبنان
في سياق متصل، أكد وزير الأمن الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس أن إسرائيل لن تسمح بإطلاق الصواريخ من لبنان نحو بلداتها. وأضاف أن حكومته تعتبر السلطات اللبنانية مسؤولة عن جميع الأحداث التي تقع على أراضيها. وقال كاتس: “لقد وعدنا سكان الجليل بالأمن، وهذا بالضبط ما سنضمنه“.
وأشار الجيش الإسرائيلي إلى أن ثلاث قذائف صاروخية أُطلقت صباح اليوم من لبنان باتجاه المطلة، لكنها تم اعتراضها بنجاح بواسطة الدفاعات الجوية الإسرائيلية، دون وقوع إصابات أو أضرار.
يُذكر أن هذا الهجوم يُعد الأول من نوعه منذ اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في تشرين الثاني الماضي، بعد الحرب الأخيرة بين إسرائيل وحزب الله، والتي خلفت دمارًا واسعًا في لبنان، مع مئات القتلى والجرحى من كلا الجانبين.
Netanyahu Orders Israeli Military to Escalate in Lebanon After Rockets Hit “Metula”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the Israeli military to take “strong action” against targets in Lebanon, following the rocket attack on the town of Metula in Northern Israel.
In a statement from his office, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel would not stand idle in the face of what he described as “ongoing threats from South Lebanon”. He also held the Lebanese government fully responsible for the events taking place on Lebanese soil, underscoring that Israel would respond to any assault from Lebanese territory.
In a wide security meeting with Israeli Security Minister Yisrael Katz and senior military leaders, Netanyahu confirmed that “the law in Metula is the same as the law in Beirut,” meaning that any attack from Lebanon would be met with a decisive military response.
Israeli Military to Strike Dozens of Targets in Lebanon
Meanwhile, Israel’s Ministry of Defense announced that the Israeli military is set to carry out a series of airstrikes targeting “dozens of sites” in Lebanon in retaliation for the rocket attack on Upper Galilee. Israeli Chief of Staff General Aviv Kochavi emphasized today, following an emergency security assessment, that Israel will respond to any further attacks.
Kochavi also noted that there would be no change in internal instructions, meaning that daily life will continue in border areas despite the military escalation.
Israel Will Not Tolerate Rocket Fire from Lebanon
In the same context, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz stated that Israel will not allow rocket fire from Lebanon towards its towns. He added that his government holds the Lebanese authorities responsible for all events taking place on Lebanese soil, assuring residents of the Galilee that security would be guaranteed.
The Israeli military also reported that three rockets were fired this morning from Lebanon towards Metula, but they were successfully intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems, with no casualties or damage.
This attack marks the first of its kind since the November ceasefire agreement following the last war between Israel and Hezbollah, which left widespread destruction in Lebanon, and hundreds of casualties on both sides.
