في مشهد مهيب، وبعد وصول نعشي الشهيدين السيد حسن نصرالله والسيد هاشم صفي الدين إلى مكان الدفن، حيث كانت الحشود الشعبية قد توافدت لتوديع النعشين، أُقيمت التحية العسكرية في هذه اللحظة التاريخية. حضر المشيعون من مختلف المناطق اللبنانية ليؤكدوا ولاءهم ووفاءهم للشهيدين اللذين قدما حياتهما في خدمة لبنان والمقاومة ضد الاحتلال.
وبعد أداء التحية العسكرية، تم إنزال نعش الشهيد السيد حسن نصرالله من العربة وحمله على الأكتاف، ليشق طريقه بصعوبة وسط أجواء مليئة بالحزن والشعور بالفقد. استمر المشيعون في الهتاف لمجددين العهد بالسير على نفس الدرب الذي خطه الشهيد، حاملين رايات حزب الله وصور السيد نصرالله.
