شهدت بلدة فاريا جريمة مروّعة راحت ضحيتها الشاب خليل جو خليل، مواليد عام 2005، إثر تعرضه لعملية دهس متعمدة على يد جوناثان شمعون، البالغ من العمر 25 عامًا، ليل السبت الماضي.
تفاصيل الحادثة تشير إلى أن تلاسنًا وقع بين الضحية وشمعون حول أحقية المرور، ليتبع الأخير خليل إلى الفندق الذي كانت تقيم فيه عائلته في فاريا. وعند خروج شقيقة الضحية بعد أن لاحظت سيارة تسير بشكل مريب بالقرب من الفندق، فوجئت بجثة شقيقها مرمية على الأرض، ليكتشفوا أنه تعرض للدهس عمدًا من قبل شمعون، الذي توجه إلى شقيقة خليل وقال: “ليتعلم كيف يكسر عليّ بالسيارة”، ثم فرّ من المكان.
الحادثة أثارت حالة من الغضب الشديد في بلدة فاريا، حيث طالب الأهالي بتوقيف الجاني وإنزال أشد العقوبات بحقه. في الوقت نفسه، تحاول فعاليات البلدة تهدئة الأوضاع، فيما تواصل الأجهزة الأمنية تحقيقاتها للكشف عن ملابسات الحادث وتوقيف الجاني.

A horrific crime took place in Faraya, where Khalil Joe Khalil, born in 2005, lost his life on Saturday night after being deliberately run over by Jonathan Shimon, a 25-year-old man.
Details of the incident confirm that a quarrel broke out between the victim and Shimon over the right of way. Later, Shimon followed Khalil to the hotel where his family was staying in Faraya. When Khalil's sister noticed a suspicious car moving outside, she was shocked to find her brother’s lifeless body on the ground. Shimon had intentionally hit him with his car and approached the sister, saying, “Let him learn how to break my car,” before fleeing the scene.
The incident sparked widespread anger in Faraya, with residents demanding the immediate arrest of the perpetrator and the imposition of severe punishment.
