ووفقًا لما نشرته صحيفة “تايمز أوف إسرائيل”، أكدت الرسالة على أن تقديم منصة إعلامية مرموقة في إسرائيل لمحتوى يحمل تحريضًا ضد الجيش الإسرائيلي هو أمر “غير مقبول تمامًا”، خاصة خلال أوقات النزاع.

أظهر الفيديو الذي بثته القناة مشهدًا جمع رئيس الأركان هاليفي مع أحد الجنود، حيث لفت انتباهه وجود شارة غير مصرح بها على زي الجندي. قام هاليفي بنزع الشارة من ذراع الجندي ووضعها في جيبه قائلاً له: “يمكنك الاحتفاظ بها قريبة من قلبك إذا أردت، ولكن لا مكان على الزي العسكري إلا للشارات الرسمية المعتمدة”.

نشرت القناة الفيديو عبر منصاتها على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي مع تعليق ساخر جاء فيه: “عندما رأى رئيس الأركان شارة المسيح”. هذا التعليق أثار استياء الجيش، ودفعه إلى توجيه انتقادات لاذعة للقناة، حيث أكدت الرسالة التي أرسلها هاغاري أن الجيش لا يمانع النقد البناء أو الخطاب العام المفتوح حول الجيش الإسرائيلي، ولكن تجاوز الفيديو “الخطوط الحمراء”، واعتبر تحريضًا مباشرًا وإهانة صريحة للجيش وقادته.

This strong criticism was conveyed in an official letter by the army spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, to the channel’s management, where he described the video as containing “incendiary and defamatory content” that harms the Israeli army's reputation and increases tensions, especially during a time of war.

According to the Times of Israel, the letter emphasized that it is “completely unacceptable” for a respected media outlet in Israel to provide a platform for content that incites against the Israeli army, especially during conflict periods.

The video broadcasted by the channel showed a scene where Chief of Staff Halevi encountered a soldier who was wearing an unauthorized insignia on his uniform. Halevi removed the badge from the soldier’s arm and put it in his pocket, saying: “You can keep it close to your heart if you want, but there is no place for it on the military uniform, except for the official insignia.”

The channel posted the satirical video on its social media platforms with the caption: “When the Chief of Staff saw the Christ emblem.” This sarcastic comment infuriated the army, leading Hagari to send a scathing letter, stating that the army is open to criticism and encourages public discourse on the Israeli military during wartime. However, he added that this video “crosses red lines” and constitutes direct incitement and an insult to the Israeli army and its leadership.

Army's Reaction and Expectations:

The Israeli army made it clear that they expect the channel to remove the offensive video, stating that such incendiary content damages the army's unity and undermines its authority, particularly during wartime. Copies of the letter were also sent to the Second Authority for Television and Radio, the body responsible for regulating commercial broadcasting in Israel, as well as to the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Communications to take appropriate actions.
