“إذا خرجوا فلا إمكانية للعودة… بلدة رميش تتحدى العدوان!”
شهدت بلدة رميش الحدودية في جنوب لبنان تجمعًا كبيرًا من الأهالي بقيادة كاهن الرعية الأب نجيب العميل، حيث تجمّعوا أمام مخفر الدرك في البلدة للتعبير عن رفضهم لقرار الدولة اللبنانية الذي ينص على إخلاء المخفر. وجّه الأهالي مناشدة للحكومة اللبنانية بعدم التخلي عنهم كما حدث في الماضي، والوقوف إلى جانبهم في هذه الظروف الصعبة، حيث يواجهون تداعيات الحرب الجارية.
في حديث خاص مع الناشط غابي الحج عبر موقع “ليبانون ديبايت”، أشار إلى أن الدولة اللبنانية قد أصدرت تعليمات لضباط وعناصر مخفر رميش بإخلاء موقعهم، وهو ما أثار حفيظة الأهالي الذين يعتبرون وجود المخفر مصدر أمان لهم، خاصة في ظل الأوضاع الحالية والتوترات المستمرة. لذلك، تجمع الأهالي وأصروا على بقاء عناصر المخفر في قريتهم وعدم مغادرتها.
وعن الوضع الذي يعيشه أهالي رميش حاليًا، طمأن الحج إلى أن المساعدات الغذائية واللوجستية تصل إلى البلدة بشكل منتظم، وذلك بفضل الجهود المشتركة بين الجيش اللبناني وقوات اليونيفيل التي تؤمّن وصول القوافل إلى البلدة. وأكد أن المواد الأساسية، بما في ذلك الوقود والمواد الغذائية، متوفرة للأهالي الذين يصل عددهم إلى حوالي 5000 نسمة، بالإضافة إلى 500 شخص من بلدات عين إبل، دبل، ويارون الذين لجأوا إلى رميش بعد تعرض قراهم للقصف.
ورغم تعرض أطراف البلدة للقصف، أشار الحج إلى عدم وجود عدوان مباشر عليها حتى الآن، ولكنه لفت إلى أن أصوات القصف والغارات تسبب حالة من الرعب والقلق لدى الأهالي الذين يجدون أنفسهم مضطرين للصمود في قريتهم. كما نفى الحج وجود أي تهديدات مباشرة من الجانب الإسرائيلي تطالب الأهالي بالإخلاء، مؤكدًا أن الأهالي عازمون على البقاء في البلدة، إذ إن خروجهم يعني أنهم لن يتمكنوا من العودة إليها أبدًا، ما يجعلهم أكثر تمسكًا بقرار الصمود.

“No Way Back if They Leave… Southern Town Defies Aggression!”
In the border town of Rmeish, southern Lebanon, residents gathered under the leadership of Father Najib Al-Aamil, the local parish priest, standing in protest outside the town's police station. The protest was sparked by the state's decision to evacuate the station. The people of Rmeish are urging the Lebanese government not to abandon them as it had done in the past and to stand by them during these challenging times, as the region faces the ongoing war.
In an interview with activist Gaby Al-Hajj, speaking to “Lebanon Debate,” he explained that the Lebanese state had requested the evacuation of the Rmeish police station's officers and personnel. This decision upset the town's residents, who feel safer with the presence of the station, especially amid the current war situation. The residents assembled to demand that the police officers remain in their village and refuse to leave.
Regarding the current state of Rmeish, Al-Hajj reassured that aid continues to reach the town, coordinated by the Lebanese army and escorted by UNIFIL forces. He emphasized that essential supplies such as fuel and food are available through these aid deliveries. Approximately 5,000 of the town’s residents remain in Rmeish, along with an additional 500 individuals from Ain Ebel, Debel, and Yaroun, who sought refuge after their villages were bombed.
Despite the village's outskirts being shelled, there has been no direct aggression on Rmeish itself. However, the constant sounds of shelling and airstrikes have left the residents in fear. Nevertheless, the villagers are compelled to stay and stand their ground. Al-Hajj denied any direct Israeli threats demanding the evacuation of the town, emphasizing that if such threats were to occur, the people would not leave. For them, leaving Rmeish now would mean they could never return, solidifying their resolve to remain in their village.
