**Job Description:**

**Job Summary:** The social worker is responsible for preparing and conducting psycho-social support (PSS) activities and overseeing awareness-raising activities and the work of outreach volunteers.

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities:**

– Promote and introduce International Medical Corps (IMC) integrated approach to GBV services to institutions, centers, PHCs, and individuals.
– Plan and conduct psycho-social support sessions for beneficiaries at WGSSs, primary health care centers, community centers, and outreach field level.
– Identify opportunities for awareness-raising, whether at a community center or other safe space.
– Organize focus group discussions on relevant information as needed.
– Conduct safety audits at the community level.
– Engage men and boys within the GBV-IMC Program and promote Gender Equality.
– Contribute to and regularly update service mapping of service providers within the area of intervention to ensure that GBV caseworkers are informed of all relevant and available services.
– Ensure safe identification and referral for beneficiaries, including GBV survivors, to the GBV case managers.
– Attend IMC and other requested training and meetings when available or requested in coordination with the GBV Program Officer and/or Program Manager.
– Prepare and submit timely reports and documentation for activities, reporting directly to the GBV Officer.
– Plan, monitor, and follow up on the work of outreach volunteers in the field.
– Conduct any other programmatic activity as requested by the GBV Officer.

**Reporting Requirements:**

– Monthly quantitative and detailed qualitative reports.
– Ad-hoc reports of any incident or new trends.
– Coordination meeting minutes.
– Other reports as requested.

**Job Requirements:**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

– Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related fields (psychology, sociology, social animation, etc.). An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
– Experience in the field of social work.
– Knowledge of, respect for, and empathy towards the communities we serve.
– Commitment to advancing women's rights and empowerment. Very good listening and communication skills.
– Good interpersonal and influencing skills. Strong facilitation skills – capable of managing and facilitating group discussions with program participants.

**Desirable:**

– Experience working closely with community members throughout a program cycle.
– Previous experience working in a GBV program.
– Previous experience in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) is a plus.
– Experience in or understanding of program accountability principles.
