Job Opportunity: Communications Manager for Emergency Response – SOS Children's Villages
Mission of the Position
The Communications Manager plays a critical role in managing and distributing information during emergency situations. The main responsibility of this position is to ensure seamless communication between all stakeholders, including internal teams, government agencies, NGOs, and the public. The manager must produce clear, timely, and actionable messages to support emergency response efforts, maintaining transparency and fostering trust within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Communication Strategy Development: Create and implement a communication strategy to effectively support emergency response operations.
- Messaging and Public Awareness: Ensure that messaging is clear, accurate, and directed toward various audiences, including the general public, government entities, and other organizations.
- Crisis Communication Coordination: Organize crisis communication efforts in coordination with national and regional crisis management teams.
- Content Creation: Write, edit, and produce communication materials for multiple platforms such as social media, websites, newsletters, and printed materials.
- Social Media Management: Oversee the management of social media channels, ensuring timely engagement with the audience.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with emergency response teams, NGOs, government agencies, and the media to maintain effective communication channels and transparency.
Child Safeguarding (CS) Responsibilities
- Raise awareness about the SOS Child Protection Policy, ensuring the protection of children from all forms of abuse, exploitation, violence, and discrimination.
- Actively prevent and respond to any potential abuse or violence directed towards children, in alignment with SOS’s Child Protection Policy.
- Handle crisis communication during any child safeguarding incidents, in collaboration with the Global Support Centre (GSC).

يعتبر مدير الاتصالات في الاستجابة للطوارئ مسؤولاً أساسياً عن إدارة وتوزيع المعلومات أثناء حالات الطوارئ. يهدف هذا الدور إلى ضمان التواصل الفعّال بين جميع الأطراف المعنية، بما في ذلك الفرق الداخلية، الوكالات الحكومية، المنظمات غير الحكومية والجمهور. يجب تقديم رسائل واضحة، دقيقة، وقابلة للتنفيذ لدعم جهود الاستجابة للطوارئ وتعزيز الثقة في المجتمع.
المسؤوليات الرئيسية
- تطوير استراتيجية الاتصالات: إنشاء وتنفيذ استراتيجية اتصال تدعم بشكل فعّال عمليات الاستجابة للطوارئ.
- رفع الوعي العام: ضمان أن تكون الرسائل واضحة وموجهة للجمهور العام والجهات الحكومية والمنظمات الأخرى.
- تنسيق الاتصالات أثناء الأزمات: تنظيم جهود الاتصالات في الأزمات بالتعاون مع فرق إدارة الأزمات الوطنية والإقليمية.
- إنشاء المحتوى: كتابة وتحرير وإنتاج المواد الاتصالية لمنصات متعددة مثل وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، المواقع الإلكترونية، النشرات الإخبارية والمواد المطبوعة.
- إدارة وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي: الإشراف على إدارة قنوات التواصل الاجتماعي وضمان المشاركة في الوقت المناسب مع الجمهور.
- التعاون مع الأطراف المعنية: العمل عن كثب مع فرق الاستجابة للطوارئ والمنظمات غير الحكومية والوكالات الحكومية ووسائل الإعلام لضمان قنوات اتصال فعالة وشفافية.
مسؤوليات حماية الطفل (CS)
- رفع الوعي حول سياسة حماية الأطفال الخاصة بـ SOS لضمان حماية الأطفال من جميع أشكال الإساءة والاستغلال والعنف والتمييز.
- منع الاستغلال والاستجابة له فوراً عند الاشتباه في حدوثه، وفقًا لسياسة حماية الأطفال.
- التعامل مع الاتصالات في حالات الأزمات أثناء حوادث حماية الأطفال بالتعاون مع المركز العالمي للدعم (GSC).
