Job Title: PHP Officer at Action Against Hunger

Organization Overview:
Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organization founded in 1979, dedicated to combating hunger and addressing situations that threaten vulnerable populations, including men, women, and children. With over 500 international staff and 5,000 local employees, the organization operates in more than 46 countries, focusing on nutrition, health, food security, and water and sanitation. In Lebanon, Action Against Hunger continues to support communities, particularly in the Bekaa, northern, and southern regions, despite the ongoing political and economic challenges exacerbated by the Syrian crisis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Community Engagement (40%)

• Develop strategies to involve community members in program activities.
• Collaborate with community leaders and stakeholders to identify needs and challenges.
• Organize community meetings, focus groups, and participatory activities to gather feedback.
• Establish WaSH Committees, including Youth, Women, and Children Committees.
• Participate in the selection and training of focal points for livelihood activities.
• Engage in hygiene campaigns at informal tents, schools, and community levels.

2. Follow-Up with Community Mobilizers and WASH Committees (30%)

• Select community mobilizers and WASH Committees.
• Mentor and train mobilizers and committees on community engagement approaches.
• Conduct follow-up meetings to ensure successful implementation of community engagement.

3. WASH Response to Health Referrals (20%)

• Participate in household assessments to identify causes of health issues.
• Conduct awareness sessions to educate communities on health and hygiene.
• Assist in distributing hygiene kits to ensure proper hygiene practices.

4. Assessment and Reporting (10%)

• Conduct household assessments and track community engagement activities.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on engagement outcomes and challenges.

5. Security Compliance

• Ensure adherence to mission and base security plans.
• Report any security-related concerns to the security manager.

6. Support Humanitarian Activities

• Assist with emergency interventions and humanitarian activities as needed.
• Promote gender equality in all work.

7. Gender & Safeguarding

• Uphold and promote policies on harassment prevention, safeguarding, and gender equity.
• Ensure a safe and equitable working environment by complying with organizational protocols.

المسؤوليات الرئيسية:

1. التفاعل المجتمعي (40%)

• العمل مع قادة المجتمع لتحديد الاحتياجات والتحديات.
• تنظيم اجتماعات مجتمعية وجلسات استماع للحصول على مدخلات المجتمع.
• تأسيس لجان WaSH، بما في ذلك لجان الشباب والنساء والأطفال.
• المشاركة في اختيار وتدريب نقاط الاتصال للأنشطة المعيشية.
• المشاركة في حملات النظافة على مستوى المجتمعات والمدارس.

2. متابعة المعبئين المجتمعيين ولجان WaSH (30%)

• اختيار وتدريب المعبئين المجتمعيين ولجان WaSH.
• الإشراف على الاجتماعات والمتابعة لضمان التنفيذ الفعال للتفاعل المجتمعي.

3. الاستجابة الصحية عبر WaSH (20%)

• المشاركة في تقييمات المنازل لتحديد الأسباب الأساسية للإحالات الصحية.
• إجراء جلسات توعية مجتمعية حول القضايا الصحية والنظافة.
• المساعدة في توزيع مجموعات النظافة للمستفيدين.

4. التقييم والتقارير (10%)

• إجراء تقييمات المنازل وتتبع الأنشطة المجتمعية.
• إعداد تقارير منتظمة حول نتائج التفاعل المجتمعي.

5. الامتثال الأمني

• التأكد من الالتزام بخطط الأمن في البعثة والمواقع.
• الإبلاغ عن أي معلومات تتعلق بالأمن لمديري الأمن.

6. دعم الأنشطة الإنسانية

• المساعدة في التدخلات الطارئة حسب القدرة.
• الترويج للمساواة بين الجنسين في العمل الإنساني.

7. المساواة بين الجنسين وحماية الأطفال

• تعزيز بيئات آمنة ومتساوية والامتثال بسياسات منع التحرش.
• دعم سياسات حماية الأطفال في جميع الأنشطة.
