أبلغت إسرائيل الولايات المتحدة أن رد جيشها على حزب الله سيكون “غير متناسب” إذا ألحق الحزب أذى بمدنيين في إطار رده على اغتيال قائده العسكري، بحسب ما نقل موقع “أكسيوس” عن مسؤوليْن إسرائيليين امس الأربعاء.
وتضاعفت التوترات في الشرق الأوسط بعد اغتيال القيادي العسكري في حزب الله فؤاد شكر في الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت، وزعيم حركة حماس إسماعيل هنية في طهران الأسبوع الماضي.
ونُسب اغتيال هنية لإسرائيل التي لم تعلّق بشأنه، فيما أعلنت مسؤوليتها عن اغتيال شكر.
ويقول المسؤولون الإسرائيليون والأميركيون إنهم يعتقدون أن حزب الله وإيران سيشنان هجمات ضد إسرائيل في الأيام المقبلة، لكنهم ما زالوا لا يعرفون متى بالضبط وما الذي ستتضمنه هذه الهجمات.
وقال زعيم حزب الله حسن نصر الله في خطاب ألقاه الثلاثاء إن المنظمة سترد على اغتيال إسرائيل لشكر.
وقبل ساعات قليلة من خطاب نصر الله، نشر رئيس تحرير صحيفة الأخبار اللبنانية، إبراهيم الأمين، المقرب من الحزب، مقالا قال في إنه من المرجح أن يستهدف الحزب تل أبيب في سياق رده على مقتل شكر.
وقد فسر المسؤولون الإسرائيليون المقال على أنه يشير إلى أن هدف رد حزب الله قد يكون مقر جيش الدفاع الإسرائيلي في وسط تل أبيب أو مقر الموساد وقواعد استخباراتية رئيسية أخرى في شمال تل أبيب. وتقع هذه القواعد كلها بالقرب من الأحياء المدنية، وإذا أخطأها صاروخ فمن المرجح أن يلحق الضرر بالمدنيين، بحسب “أكسيوس”.
والأربعاء، حضّ الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو في اتصال هاتفي على “تجنّب دوامة أعمال انتقامية”، وذلك في ظلّ تصاعد التوتر بين إسرائيل من جهة وإيران وحليفها حزب الله اللبناني من الأخرى، وفق الإليزيه.

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated following the assassinations of Hezbollah military leader Fuad Shukr in Beirut's southern suburbs and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran last week. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah stated in a speech on Tuesday that the organization would retaliate for Israel's assassination of Shukr.
Just hours before Nasrallah's speech, Ibrahim Al-Amin, the editor-in-chief of the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar and a close associate of the party, published an article suggesting that Hezbollah is likely to target Tel Aviv in response to Shukr's death.
Israeli officials interpreted the article to mean that Hezbollah's retaliation might focus on the Israel Defense Forces headquarters in central Tel Aviv, the Mossad headquarters, and other key intelligence bases in northern Tel Aviv. All these locations are near civilian neighborhoods, and any misfired missile could potentially harm civilians, according to Axios.
