SKOUN is a Lebanese, non-profit, non-governmental organization and one of the first outpatient facilities that provides accessible treatment, education, and protection for all people who use drugs while maintaining its values regarding inclusion, accessibility, integrity, and dignity.
For 20 years, SKOUN has been caring for the most vulnerable populations in Lebanon and strives to ensure drug use and addiction are treated as primary health issues.
SKOUN aims to support the development of community-based substance use and mental health systems in line with the National Mental Health Strategy and model of care, tackling gender barriers in service access and gender biases in service provision through offering quality and gender-sensitive services to women, men, boys, girls, and non-gender conforming individuals living in Lebanon, particularly the most vulnerable groups and people at risk.
Scope of Work
The candidate is expected to
- Work closely with SKOUN focal points with the possibility to liaise with the other consortium partners, to review designs and produce a variety of print, information, and publication materials, and re-edit as per requirements, noting that all information and materials content is ready.
- Share an initial sample of the required materials, including changes based on feedback from MDM, UNW, Expertise France, and SKOUN.
- Design the required materials in English, Arabic, and other languages when required.
Time Commitment
Project-based consultancies. The timeline will be set with the Graphic Designer based on the deliverables.
Work Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in publication production, including graphic design and layout, or related areas is required.
Deliverables
The graphic designer is expected to be able to work on:
1. Design books, manuals/reports, guidelines, etc.
2. Newsletter
3. Multi-color original illustration
4. Multi-color infographics
5. Folders, Flex, Flyers, Invitation card etc.
6. Experience in branding is of added value
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
1. proven experience in designing communication materials.
2. be able to translate ideas into user-friendly illustrations.
3. Attention to detail and accurate depiction of information.
4. Knowledge of Substance Use and Harm Reduction topics is a plus
