A receptionist is assigned to be the first point of contact for the people coming to enquire about the community Center. He/she needs to have a customer service attitude and feels comfortable working with people especially with kids. A knowledge in Data entry is a must. He/she needs to become fully aware of all the center’s activities in order to communicate information clearly to the enquiring person.
The candidate must be ready to work professionally as he is the first image of Dorcas Syria and be able to multitask.
*Main Tasks:
• Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the center;
• Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office;
• Answer, and forward incoming phone calls;
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures);
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone;
• Maintain kids security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
• Entering and updating information into relevant databases.
• Handling additional duties from time to time.
• Other duties as assigned by the management.
