وظائف شاغرة لدى The National Institution Of Social Care And Vocational Training (Beit Atfal Assumoud): مطلوب عمال ميدانيين (Field Worker Position at Shatila and Nahr El-Bared Centers)
The National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training known as Beit Atfal Assumoud are looking for a Field Worker within the Multi-Service Community Center (MAKANI) located in Nahr El Bared Camp, Shatila Camp. The incumbent will be mainly responsible for delivering capacity building training workshops for youth and adolescents and reach out for beneficiaries in the assigned camps.
Background on the Organization:
The National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training (NISCVT), known as Beit Atfal Assumoud, is a humanitarian, non-sectarian and non-governmental organization, and it is not related to any political or religious groups, working within the Palestinian refugee community in Lebanon. NISCVT's multi-services contribute to the development of the Palestinian community in Lebanon. By addressing the needs of the family with gender-balanced projects, NISCVT aims at empowering the individual, supporting the community resiliency, and preserving the national identity. NISCVT programs reach out Palestinian refugees in camps and gatherings around Lebanon through 13 centers. Ten of these centers are located inside the refugee camps while two are outside the camps, in the surrounding areas. Targeting male and female children, youth, adults and elderlies, NISCVT programs include sponsorship, education and health, cultural and recreational activities, in addition to professional mental and social intervention. NISCVT also reaches local underserved Lebanese communities living in and around the camps.
About the Project
This position is under the project titled STEP: Skills Training and Empowerment for Palestinian Youth, which is led by Right To Play – Lebanon in partnership with UNICEF – Palestinian Programme.
STEP Project: The Skills Training and Empowerment for Palestinian Youth – STEP is contributing to building adolescents and youth’ skills and education which are relevant to the new market opportunities through a play-based life-skills, career guidance, job readiness, and employability package.
The STEP Project targets vulnerable and school dropout adolescents and youth who will develop essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration, while also addressing their specific learning needs and interests. Also, it will stem from a rights-based, integrated, child-centered approaches to reach Palestinian young people, aged 14 to 24 with a package that promotes their learning, upskilling their vocational training and accessing job opportunities.
The project is implemented within Palestinian 7 Camps and 3 Gatherings: Beirut: Shatila, North Lebanon: Nahr El Bared, South Lebanon: Saida: Miyeh ou Miyeh and Ein El Hilweh, & Tyre: Burj El Shemali, Rashidieh, El-Buss, Maachouq, Chabriha, Jal El Bahr.
Location: Shatila & or Nahr El-Bared camps
Duration: June 2024 31st Dec 2024 renewable based on performance & availability of fund
Type of Contract: Full-Time
Salary: 450 USD
Responsibilities
The Field worker will be under the direct technical supervision of the Project Coordinator. The incumbent will be working as a full-time employee and will be responsible to:
Training and Facilitation
• Participate in trainings facilitated by Right To Play
• Deliver training sessions to all beneficiaries (youth and adolescents) on Skills Development
• Prepare field tasks and activities in coordination with the Project Coordinator
• Foster a supportive learning environment conducive to personal and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with Beit Atfal Assumoud relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the management team aiming at developing the center work.
Outreach and Data Management
• Support in the outreach, identification, selection and registration of beneficiaries for different activities of the project
• Maintain regular follow-up with beneficiaries and ensure retaining them in the activities
• Maintain accurate and updated records while ensuring that confidentiality and data protection guidelines are adhered
• Cross-check beneficiary list to avoid duplication with other UNICEF PPL Youth partners
• Support in the identification of success stories on the field
Monitoring and Reporting
• Monitor all activities taking place at the centers and report to the Project Coordinator
• Collect and report all information relative to the activities and submit weekly reports to the Project Coordinator on the progress of activities
• Participate in internal and external meetings regarding the activities of the project, challenges, progress, successes, and lessons learned
• Maintain regular follow-up with the volunteers on their tasks
Qualifications
• Vocational or bachelor’s degree, in Social Work, Sociology, Community Development, Psychology, Counseling, Education, or any related field
• At least two years of cumulative experience in implementing community development activities, preferably in CSOs.
• Experience in delivering trainings is an asset
• Experience in working in Palestinian Refugee Camps and/or Gatherings is a must
• Residing in Shatila & or Naher Al- Bared Palestinian Refugee Camps is a must
• Previous experience in field work with adolescents and youth is a must
• Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic
• Good computer skills (Microsoft, Google workplace, surveys)
