For 20 years, SKOUN has been caring for the most vulnerable populations in Lebanon and strives to ensure drug use and addiction are treated as primary health issues.
SKOUN aims to support the development of community-based substance use and mental health systems in line with the National Mental Health Strategy and model of care, tackling gender barriers in service access and gender biases in service provision through offering quality and gender-sensitive services to women, men, boys, girls, and gender non-conforming individuals living in Lebanon, particularly the most vulnerable groups and people at risk.
Summary and General Description
The consultancy will be responsible for Skoun IT systems
Key Responsibilities
Support Technical On-Site Visits: in case of technical problems that can’t be solved over the phone or by remote connection, a technician must provide assistance within a period of 5 working hours for major problems and 24 working hours for minor problems, excluding force majeure cases.
- Yearly Support will include unlimited site visits if support can’t be handled remotely during the period of the contract
- support for electrical devices and electrical malfunction.
- free technical consulting must be provided in case of upgrades or renewal, including proposals for compatible and cost-effective solutions, that best fit the first party’s requirements
Deliverables:
- Monthly Work Plan
- Produce monthly progress report
- Check and ensure backup rotation is operational, including but not limited to Firewall
- Monitor Internet connections to/from the hosting environment
- Monitor for upgrades to software or hardware systems and suggest upgrade paths or improvements
- Ensure the hosting environment is kept maintained to a high standard; including but not limited to UPS monitoring, air-conditioning system maintenance, electricity supply, and physical security checks.
- Liaise with other team members to assist with technical solutions
- Train and assist other team members in building IT capacity
- Analyze and assess IT monitoring software, and disseminate the results to management
- Establish Secure tunnels Between the cloud and HQ
- Provide a Secure VPN to HQ and the cloud server.
- Maintain Linux OS Servers
Criteria of selection: minimum qualifications and professional experience:
1. IT technician
Primary duties: An IT technician collaborates with support specialists to analyze and diagnose computer issues. They also monitor processing functions, install relevant software and perform tests on computer equipment and applications when necessary. They may also train a company's employees, clients, and other users on a new program or function as well.
Requirements: an associate degree in IT or a bachelor's degree in computer science or networking.
2. Support Specialists
Primary duties: Support specialists are responsible for reviewing and solving computer network and hardware problems for a business. They can work in a variety of industries to provide general support to a company's employees or at a technology or software-as-a-service (SaaS) company to provide technical support on user experience issues that require technical assistance.
Requirements: bachelor's degree in IT or computer science. Having a certificate or an associate degree paired
3. IT security specialist
Primary duties: IT security specialists work in various industries to build and maintain digital protective measures on intellectual property and data that belong to an organization. They help companies create contingency plans in case information gets hacked from their networks and servers. These professionals also create strategies to troubleshoot problems as they arise.
Requirements: A bachelor's degree or professional certification in Cyber Security. Or certification provided by the Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2).
4. Network engineer
Primary duties: Network engineers work on the day-to-day maintenance and development of a company's computer network, utilizing their skills to make the network available and efficient for all employees within an organization.
Requirements: degree in computer science or information systems Or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
