تفاصيل درجة التعليم: Bachelor's degree in education or any other related field with basic knowledge of special education principles, teaching strategies, and best practices for supporting students with special cases.

الوصف:

As a helper in an education program tailored for students with special cases, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to both educators and students. This position requires empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to helping individuals with diverse learning needs thrive in an educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Educators: Support teachers and instructors in implementing lesson plans and educational activities designed for students with special cases.
  2. Provide One-on-One Support: Work closely with individual students to provide personalized assistance, including academic support, behavioral guidance, and emotional encouragement.
  3. Adapt Teaching Materials: Modify educational materials and resources to suit the unique learning styles and requirements of students with special cases.
  4. Facilitate Inclusion: Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and included, regardless of their abilities or challenges.
  5. Monitor Progress: Keep track of students' progress and development, noting any areas of improvement or concerns, and communicate effectively with educators and caregivers.
  6. Assist with Personal Care: Depending on the needs of the students, assist with personal care tasks, mobility support, and other activities of daily living.
  7. Promote Independence: Encourage students to develop independence and self-confidence by providing opportunities for them to practice essential skills and make choices within a supportive framework.
  8. Collaborate with Team: Work collaboratively with other education program staff, therapists, and support personnel to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to meeting students' needs.

Qualifications:

  1. Empathy and Patience: Demonstrated ability to empathize with students facing various challenges and maintain patience and composure in challenging situations.
  2. Understanding of Special Education: Bachelor's degree in education or any other related field with basic knowledge of special education principles, teaching strategies, and best practices for supporting students with special cases.
  3. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and clearly with students, educators, and caregivers.
  4. Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing needs and priorities within the educational environment, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  5. Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  6. Relevant Experience: 2-3 years of Previous experience working with individuals with special needs or in educational settings is preferred but not required. Willingness to undergo training and professional development as needed.
  7. Language: Fluency in English and Arabic is a must

NB: LOST has zero tolerance for Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of beneficiaries. Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the code of conduct, that enshrines the principles of PSEA, always (Both during work hours and outside work hours). Familiarization with, and adherence to, the code of conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training. All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.
