RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES of the “Teacher”:
- Data Entry, Outreach and Documents Handling:
- Entering data within set timeframes through ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Handling the required personal profiles and documents of students
- Completing daily preparation and documentation such as lesson plans and attendance sheets for morning and afternoon shifts
- Reaching the target of children throughout the cycles by conducting field visits
- Assess Students’ Needs:
- Conduct individualized assessments to identify students’ learning challenges and areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with caregivers to gather insights into students’ academic progress and needs
- Develop Customized Remedial Plans:
- Design teaching plans for each student, considering their specific learning requirements and goals
- Create engaging and age-appropriate learning materials to support teaching activities
- Provide one-on-one or Small Group Instruction:
- Conduct learning sessions with individual students or small groups, focusing on improving their reading, writing, listening and mathematics skills.
- Use various teaching strategies and resources to address learning difficulties effectively.
- Monitoring and Evaluating Progress:
- Continuously track and evaluate students’ progress adjusting plans as needed to ensure measurable improvement.
- Maintain detailed records of each student’s performance and development.
- Foster a supportive Learning Environment:
- Build a positive and encouraging relationship with students to boost their self-esteem and motivation
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Insert active learning techniques in the lesson plan and classroom activities
- Collaborate with Education Staff and Parents:
- Communicate regularly with the educational team caregivers to share progress updates and discuss strategies for improvement.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings to provide insights into students’ academic progress.
- Reflection and Report-Writing:
- Updating the project coordinator and Education coordinator with the daily implementation and challenges if any.
- Submitting a weekly and monthly reports to the project coordinator
- Safety and Protection:
- Presenting complete commitment to Nabaa’s protection policies and code of conduct
- Guaranteeing children’s safety and security on all levels
- Referring cases to the psychologist once concerns are raised that a child subjected to abuse or is at risk
- Other duties and responsibilities:
- Performing other relevant duties and responsibility if assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education/ Training/ Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Education (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification and relevant teaching experience

- Strong Communication Skills: Crucial for explaining concepts clearly, engaging students in learning, and maintaining effective communication with parents and colleagues.
- Empathy and Understanding: Important for connecting with students, recognizing their unique circumstances, and providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Necessary for responding to the dynamic nature of teaching, including adapting teaching methods to meet the varied needs of students and adjusting to unforeseen challenges in the classroom.
- Technical Tasks (as needed for performing selected tasks)
- Understanding of educational principles and methodologies
- Computer Literacy in outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint, excel and Internet
- Effective report writing
- Understanding of child protection and safety
