Job Purpose
Mercy-USA is looking for a full time Warehouse Keeper (Akkar) to support the Food Parcels distribution activity by ensuring the efficient and effective management of the Warehouse and the proper management of the receipt, delivery and safety of goods.

Responsibilities
Warehouse Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the warehouse storing food parcels. Ensure efficient space utilization and optimal inventory levels.
Managing Daily Workers:
- Supervise and manage daily workers in the warehouse. Ensure they follow safety protocols and operational guidelines.
Coordination of Truck Movements:
- Work closely with safety and security units, logistics and warehouse manager, and the distribution team to coordinate the movement of trucks in and out of the warehouse. Ensure all movements comply with safety standards.
Compliance with UN World Food Program Standards:
- Strictly adhere to the rules and procedures of the United Nations World Food Program, particularly in handling, storing, and distributing food parcels.
Dispatch Planning:
- Plan and coordinate the dispatch of food parcels from the warehouse to various distribution sites, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
Food Quality Checks:
- Regularly conduct quality checks of food parcels to ensure they meet necessary standards and are safe for distribution.
Inventory Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate inventory records. Conduct regular stock reports and counts in alignment with WFP standards. Provide reports on warehouse activities, stock levels, and distribution schedules.
Communication with Donor:
- Liaise with the donor regarding stock levels, distribution plans, and any challenges encountered.
Other Storekeeper Duties:
- Perform additional tasks as required in the storekeeper role, including maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse, ensuring equipment is in good working order, and any other related duties.

Minimum Hiring Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration/Management or related field
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a related field
- A minimum of 2 years' experience with an NGO/ INGO
- Knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures (warehouse safety, hygiene, quality standards) involved in warehouse management
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in warehouse management or logistics
- Good verbal and written command of the English & Arabic languages
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Knowledge of Excel is a requirement)
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
