Description of the initiative and context
The initiative aims to enhance the provision of integrated primary social services by 16 SDCs to Syrian refugees and hosting communities and to develop referral mechanism for social secondary cases based on cooperation among SDCs and secondary services providers. To achieve these goals, ICU will contribute to the upgrade of the targeted facilities through: supply of equipment, technical and financial support, capacity building aiming at improving the skills of the staff in case management and overall technical expertise. ICU will also support the 16 SDCs to improve inclusive access to secondary social-health services not available within the supported facilities through a networked referral system. The Agreements drafting will be based on previous experience with public hospitals, NGO and civil society actors.
The proposal aims to achieve the following results:
- SDCs are equipped with necessary medical equipment and general supplies for full operational capacity;
- Improved SDC organisational model is in place for an effective community-based delivery strategy of tailored social protection services;
- Community social research with MoSA and SDC personnel performed to assess and minimise barriers to access to social protection schemes (including design, implementation, regulation, monitoring and evaluation);
- Updated and implemented case management model allowing the referral and tracking of cases among social and health service providers.
Tasks:

- Support 6 SDCs staff in the work to be carried out within the SDCs: Sin el Fil, Baabdat, Bikfaya, Jounieh, Achkout, Byblos, (data entry, medical consultations, patient follow-up, etc.);
- Verify the correct filling in and updating of any useful documentation related to the health of the beneficiaries;
- Support the doctor and the staff of the SDCs in the implementation of medical screening for students enrolled in the schools neighbouring the SDCs;
- Support and supervise the staff of the SDCs in the organisation and implementation of community activities;
- Supports the SDCs in the mapping of secondary service providers in the surrounding areas and facilitates the conclusion of agreements between them for the referral service;
- Report at the end of each visit to the SDCs to the Technical manager on the progress of activities.
Qualifications and skills:

- Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent;
- At least 3 years of experience as a nurse;
- Excellent knowledge of Arabic; English or French is a plus;
- Experience with refugee communities in Lebanon is a plus;
- Previous experience with SDCs is a plus;
- Previous experience in collaborating with NGOs is a plus
- Previous experience in organising campaigns/awareness-raising sessions on health-related topics is a plus;
Contractual and financial aspects:

- A part-time consultancy contract will be agreed and signed by both parties (ICU and the employee);
- Salary will be EUR 1,200 per month (fresh money);
- 3-month probation period with the possibility of renewal until the end of the project (31 December 2024).
