Job Title : Community Field Support

Duty Station : Tyre with regular Field Visits
Position Type : Full Time
Job Purpose:
Support the Outreach Volunteer (OV) Program in designated areas under the supervision of the line manager. While ensuring qualitative and timely implementation and monitoring of INTERSOS OV activities in compliance with INTERSOS, standards, and protocols.
Generic Duties:
- Support the OV teams and provide regular feedback to the line manager on the status of OV performance and of implementation of activities with regard to achievements, constraints, and challenges;
- support the line manager in the proper collection and handling of all data related to OV activities; specifically, referrals while ensuring that the OVs are using the right form.
- Follow up with the OVs per their areas of coverage on the types and the quality of referrals to ensure the proper feedback within the entire team and with the referred cases accordingly.
- Liaise with the community to ensure that the Outreach volunteers are qualitatively engaged in the awareness-raising process. Have the minimum technical capacity to be able to monitor the implementation process of OV activities with support by the line manager in order toidentify technical gaps and be able to properly report these gaps and identifications through the adequate pathway for enhancement purposes.
- Support the OV’s in the FGD implementation while ensuring the proper engagement of the participants and qualitative collection of the data.
- Arrange a proper archiving process for all the collected Ov’s related documents and activity data, either in softcopy or hardcopy, to facilitate access for the line manager and external stakeholders;
- Undertake regular field visits to meet the OV teams and discuss achievements and challenges and encounter participants and other local stakeholders under the supervision of the line manager
- Disseminates information on refugee issues/assistance/services to OVs, briefs them on the information and ensures that it is effectively sharedthrough the OV’s with the communities
- Follow up the application of rules, protocols, and tools for the reporting of the INTERSOS OV program implemented in the assigned area.
- Act as a focal point for communication with the outreach volunteer on the tools used that require updating and enhancing to ensure qualitative implementation of the activities
- Reflecting the OV concerns, complaints, challenges, and achievements to the line manager.
- Logistically assist his supervisor and/or any other related staff in arranging meetings and capacity-building training with the outreach volunteers in the community centers and agreed-on venues.
- Disseminate information received from the line manager on refugee issues/assistance/services to OVs, brief them on the information, and ensure that it is effectively communicated with communities.
- Any other relevant task support as required by management.
Other Specific Duties:

Education:
- University Degree in Social Work, Economics, or relevant field.
Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Professional Competencies:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of protection and related technical aspects.
- Knowledge on how to communicate with vulnerable population groups, such as women, children, youth, elderly, persons with disabilities and refugees.
- Ability and willingness to travel to project areas and spend extended periods with communities and volunteers
- Ability on producing report and on compiling of quantitative and qualitative data
- Experience in conducting basic administrative tasks
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of local communities and customary rules.
- MS Proficiency (Word, Excel)
- Excellent Reporting skills
- Driving License issued since 2 years
