SOS Children's Villages Lebanon is looking for a resourceful and adaptable Security Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing our organization's safety and security policies, ensuring a secure environment for the children and staff, and efficiently handling emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety and security protocols specific to the needs of SOS Children's Villages in Lebanon.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits, and recommend practical measures to mitigate risks.
- Train staff on safety procedures, emergency response, and security awareness.
- Coordinate with local authorities and maintain a network for crisis management.
- Oversee security equipment and manage security incidents and emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with national regulations and international standards.
- Prepare regular reports on security for the management team.
Child Safeguarding (CS)
- Responsible within own area of work to prevent and protect children of all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination based on SOS Child Protection Policy principles
- Carries out CS risk assessment within his/her area of work and ensures that relevant actions are put in place to mitigate the existing and possible CS risks
- Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the national CS focal person or any other member of the national CS team and/or to respective line manager
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in any relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven ability to handle high-stress situations effectively and make sound decisions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Arabic and English.
- Adaptable, with the ability to respond to emergencies outside standard working hours.
