About Rural Entrepreneurs: Rural Entrepreneurs is a non-profit organization initiated in 2015 in Shouf, Mount Lebanon, in response to the growing concerns about youth and women's unemployment and marginalization in rural areas. The organization was officially cofounded later on by a group of Lebanese entrepreneurs and professionals who believe in the value of investing in human capital and are committed to sharing their knowledge and experience to prepare youth and women to progress in their careers and become business leaders.

The Outreach Officer's Duties:

Develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative community outreach plan targeting the individual, private, corporate, school, and other organizations

Identify potential beneficiaries to the relevant projects as per the set criteria

Conduct outreach and community dialogue activities

Assist in social assessment

Make regular visits to stakeholders (municipalities, unions of municipalities, communities, etc.) to assess the needs of the beneficiaries targeted by the project and to build a relationship with them

Conduct support groups and committee  meetings and participate in community forums

File and archive specific forms for referrals and weekly reporting are taking place while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness

Establish connections with entrepreneurs, professionals, academia, activists, and practitioners in the domain of entrepreneurship, NGOs, public and private sectors, UN agencies, entrepreneurial networks or similar parties that help identify potential mentors

Outreach and selection of Youth committee members

Oversee and coordinate Youth committee outreach and community  activities

Support in the procurement process as requested

Build and maintain a database and a community for RE

Raise beneficiaries’ concerns and report weekly to the Lab enabler and retain youth and talents to ensure they are part of our community

Monitor the daily ongoing activities

Participate in events and represent RE as requested

Additional duties and responsibilities 

Actively participate in all training sessions as directed by management including SEA-related training sessions and awareness-raising efforts

Uphold the code of conduct, Child Protection Policy, and all RE policies

Support for dissemination of PSEA materials

Report in good faith all potential allegations of SEA (even if not evidenced) through the Child Protection Focal Point.

Coordinate with other staff of the project

Other tasks as directed by the project director

Education, Experience and Skills

A bachelor degree or equivalent years of experience in fields of social work, economics, human resources, marketing, and/or other relevant fields

Strong experience in outreach and recruitment

Excellent reporting, communication, interpersonal skills, and proactive negotiation skills

Have skills in working with people of all ages and social groups

Skilled at working with local communities and authorities

Outgoing and engaging personality with confidence to interact face-to-face with individual and corporate donors

A high degree of personal initiative with the desire and ability to meet aggressive programmatic goals

Flexibility and ability to infuse creativity, innovation, and insight into program fulfillment as we expand our programs

Superior organizational and time management skills

Able to multi-task and work through stringent deadlines while maintaining focus on priorities

Good verbal and written communication skills, with thorough knowledge of Arabic and English

Availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally

Others

Based in Choueifat or in Aley district

Motorized (Have a car)
