Context
Project Background: Makani Center project under the WaSH, Health, and Nutrition intervention will occur in Palestinian refugee camps and gatherings in Lebanon which aims to prepare local centers to become WASH-friendly and empower community members by improving their knowledge and practices toward WASH, Health, and Nutrition topics as environmental hygiene, menstrual hygiene, personal hygiene, mental health / sexual and reproductive health care, and maternal nutrition, infant, and young child feeding. Anera is looking for a short-term volunteer to work on reviewing and proofreading the WASH, Health, and Nutrition technical guide in Arabic specialized for the Palestinian community in Lebanon.

Content Review and Proofreading: – Review and proofread the translated WaSH, Health, and Nutrition-related content and materials in Arabic and ensure the translation is accurate and culturally appropriate. – Ensure that all translated materials comply with established WaSH, Health, and Nutrition terminology and guidelines in a simple and basic way. Content Creation: – Tailor content to the Palestinian refugee target audience, ensuring it is clear and easily understandable. Cultural Sensitivity: – Ensure that all WaSH, Health, and Nutrition materials respect cultural sensitivities and are aligned with the cultural context of the target audience. Collaboration: – Collaborate with the project team and subject matter experts to ensure accurate translation and effective communication of WaSH, Health, and Nutrition information. Quality Assurance: – Perform quality assurance checks on all WaSH, Health, and Nutrition materials to verify accuracy, consistency, and adherence to WaSH, Health, and Nutrition terminology. Deadline Adherence: – Meet deadlines for the delivery of WaSH, Health, and Nutrition materials, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
Required experience
Bachelor's degree in Arabic language, translation, or a related field; Proven experience in copywriting, content creation, and translation with a focus on WaSH, Health, and Nutrition-related topics; Strong knowledge of WaSH, Health, and Nutrition terminology and WaSH, Health, and Nutrition-related guidelines; Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages; Familiarity with cultural aspects related to WaSH, Health, and Nutrition communication in the Arabic-speaking context; Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
