The René Moawad Foundation (RMF) is a Lebanese non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organization that was established on November 22, 1991 two years after President René Moawad’s assassination, who was elected President of the Lebanese Republic on November 5, 1989 and killed 17 days later. President René Moawad believed in a strong and democratic state and fought for a progressive and modern Lebanon, a peaceful Lebanon, which embraces the values of democracy, human rights, moderation and pluralism.
The Rene Moawad Foundation is seeking a Field Coordinator in the Bekaa region.
Position summary
The field coordinator will be responsible of the day-to-day field operations, and will be the primary contact between target beneficiaries and communities and the Project Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate the work of the local team on various levels
- Responsible for the on-site implementation of activities, training logistics, and coordination with project beneficiaries
- Summarize, evaluate and update on a regular basis the project in accordance with the established planning schedules
- Maintain regular contact with local working partners
- Liaise with other related organizations if needed
- Determine any changes to the plan and report to the Project Manager
- Contribute to the weekly, monthly activities report
- Assisting in filling, collecting all needed data. (questionnaire, pre-test, post-test, attendance sheets, etc.)
- Identify and report success stories
- Capture photos for the ongoing activities and trainings
- Follow on the attendance of the beneficiaries.
Functional Competencies:
- 2-3 years’ experience in funded projects’ activities in Bekaa region (preferably in agricultural related activities)
- A graduate degree or equivalent bachelor degree (preferably related to agriculture)
- Strong experience in donors –funded projects
- Experience in working with partners
- Experience reporting on project activities (required) as well as research and data collection (desired)
- Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic
- Excellent reporting, communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional skills:
- Preferably agricultural related studies (Agricultural engineer or related studies)
- Well connected in the working field in Bekaa region
