Physical Education will emphasize on sports-related skills, movement patterns, games, and fitness activities, ensuring that children can gain the qualifications they need to advance their education.
The PE teacher is responsible for teaching physical education and sport activities to children enrolled in TDH IT Non-Formal Education activities:
i. Early child Education children aged (3-5)
ii. Basic Literacy and Numeracy children aged (10-14)
He /She is responsible for communicating with all staff involved in the education of the children.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, plan and implement physical education activity both indoor and outdoor classes
• Meet and coordinate with technical team; adapt activities to children with disabilities; develop appropriate modifications for IEP.
• Monitor and evaluate child skill levels and outcomes.
• Maintain records of children’s achievement and evaluate children on a continuous basis
• Document children behavior and make necessary referral to CP and inclusion team
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the child, ensure children aren’t exposed to unnecessary injury or illness
• Prepare/set up space prior to the first day of activity
• Set up equipment prior to session
• Teach safety rules related to each activity
• Monitor use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities
• Plan, organize, and coordinate field day if requested;
• Participate in parent-teacher meeting
• Record each child’s classroom attendance, reporting any absences and highlighting any absences which require follow-up by the outreach staff.
• Responsible for submitting daily timesheet to the line manager
• Participate in the trainings and follow up meetings conducted by TDH It Team.
• Contributing to the ongoing operations of the centers in any other way required.
