Introduction about MSF:
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) / أطباء بلا حدود is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people in 70 countries who are affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. Our activities include the treatment of injuries and disease, maternal care and the provision of humanitarian aid. Where necessary, we set up sanitation systems, supply safe drinking water, and distribute relief to assist survival.
Main Objective of the position: Defining, coordinating and monitoring the supply chain activities in the project according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures in order to ensure the optimal running of the project.
Accountabilities:
- In collaboration with the Deputy Supply Coordinator and the Supply Chain Coordinator, planning, establishing and reviewing the supply activities in the coordination including its budget, in order to identify and optimize the response to the needs of the mission and the targeted population
- Monitoring and ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the following supply activities in coordination: order processing, local purchase management, physical (warehousing) and administrative (management of movements) stock management, freight management, supply administration and implementation of standard supply tools (Unifeld)
- If needed ensuring the availability of relevant management data to the owners of the stock, project and capital coordination (expired drugs, risk of shortages, stock reports, lead time, pipeline, etc.).
- Managing the supply team in the coordination, and in collaboration with the Deputy Supply Coordinator, participating in the planning and implementation of HR associated processes (recruitment, training, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, detection of potential, development and communication) of the staff under his / her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required to correctly perform all supply activities.
- Participating in monthly reporting according to guidelines.
Context Specific Accountabilities :
- Position based in Coordination, with possibility of travelling to the projects for support.
- Transport & Customs clearance tasks to facilitate the importation of items for running our activities.
- Focus on procurement of medical and non-medical items and procurement of services for some non-medical categories.
Requirement:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, logistics, supply chain, procurement or equivalent working experience with a minimum of 3 years in the field of logistics, supply chain, or procurement.
Experience
Essential: Minimum 2 years' experience in logistics and supply chain management with proven experience in managing a team of at least 2 to 10 members.
Desirable:
- Experience in INGOs, if in procurement or supply chain/logistic.
- Procurement proven experience & experience in transportation and customs clearance/import procedures
Languages
Fluent in Arabic and English
Knowledge
Good knowledge of MS Tool ( Excel, Word)
