Summary

1MORECUP is seeking to recruit a Communication Officer that is responsible for managing social media communications, engaging with media outlets and journalists, creating and producing internal communications materials and channels, developing and executing communication plans to increase public awareness, working in advertising, social media, and media relations, and writing and distributing content to promote the organization's brand, activities, and products.

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage social media communications and develop engaging content for various platforms.
• Conduct interviews with media personnel and liaise between the organization and the media.
• Create and produce internal communications materials to keep staff informed and engaged.
• Develop and execute communication plans to increase public awareness of the organization's mission and activities.
• Work in advertising, social media, and media relations to promote the organization's brand and message.
• Monitor and report back on relevant events and milestones on topics related to advocacy, human rights, freedom of expression and freedom of assembly.
• Write and distribute content to promote the organization's brand, activities, or products.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear and compelling content in Arabic and English; French is a plus.
• Experience in conducting interviews and working with media personnel.
• Knowledge of advertising, social media, and media relations strategies.
• A strong commitment to gender equality and supporting marginalized communities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
