The Financial Consultant will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Overseeing all financial aspects of the Bridge-The-Gap Project.
- Collaborating with the Finance Manager to develop and maintain project budgets.
- Conducting financial planning to support the effective allocation of resources.
- Monitoring project expenditures to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Implementing proper financial controls to safeguard project funds.
- Providing timely and accurate financial reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Analyzing financial data and trends to identify areas for optimization.
- Offering recommendations to enhance financial efficiency and sustainability.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial projections and forecasts.
- Supporting financial compliance and auditing requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial management and budget oversight.
- Knowledge of financial planning and analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office applications.
- Previous experience working with NGOs or development projects is an advantage.
- Previous experience working with international donors and especially GIZ in Lebanon.
Duration and Location:
The consultancy will span 2 months, commencing from October 1st till November 30th 2023. The consultant will be expected to work remotely and collaborate with the Musharek NGO team through virtual meetings and communications.
