I. Summary
The Assessment Field Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the rapid assessment of the diets of children aged 6-12 months. The coordinator will provide guidance and support to personnel working on the assessment in the specified area and will be ensuring optimum data collection and reporting.
II.Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Act as the focal person for the rapid assessment of the diets of children aged 6-12 months.
- Set the assessment implementation plan and coordinate the activities internally and with relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in the recruitment of enumerators/data collectors.
- Provide training on the data collection methods/tools and ensure proper capacity building for the team working on the assessment.
- Advise and provide technical support to personnel working on the assessment.
- Conduct the necessary field preparations and coordination with involved stakeholders before and during the assessment.
- Coordinate with the lead researcher and provide him/her with the necessary support.
- Monitor the data collection process.
- Supervise the team working on the assessment, ensure proper and timely reporting and evaluate the quality of the work.
- Provide regular reports, feedback, and recommendations to the management on the assessment.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Attend relevant training sessions, workshops, and meetings.
- Initiate and follow up on the related procurement processes and ensure proper documentation.
- Perform regular field visits according to a schedule developed in collaboration with the Project Coordinator.
- Attend IOCC meetings when needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities to the project coordinator.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
III. Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Self-motivated and initiative taker
- Organized
- Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions.
- Proven capacity in management, leadership, and teamwork
- Proven capacity in writing reports
- Proven capacity in training
- Excellent communication skills and team building skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Willingness to use personal car and to frequently travel to the field and IOCC Office
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
IV. Education:
B.Sc. in Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing, or related domain; M.Sc. is an advantage
V. Experience:
- 2-3 years of work experience
- Previous experience in NGO, and humanitarian field is an advantage.
- Previous experience in participating in assessments is an advantage.

VII. Working Conditions
- Stationed in the office with frequent visits to the field.
