IOCC is looking for a graphic design, marketing and communication consultant who will work closely with a community kitchen located in Tripoli, based on the developed business and sustainability plan in order to better position the kitchen (preparing hot meals for vulnerable families) through modern marketing, enabling the community kitchen to expand its reach and sustain its charitable activities. The business plan is includes expansion areas covering frozen products, daily meals, and catering services.
Once identified and selected, the consultant shall closely work with the Community Kitchens (CK) administration as well as with IOCC Senior Food Security and WASH Program Coordinator to come up with a holistic marketing strategy for the Community Kitchen / Partner Organization.
The Consultant shall offer a comprehensive business plan to include:
- Discussions with the CK to identify their marketing goals.
- Design branding material.
- Connect the community kitchen to social media platforms.
The above will also enable the CK administration to implement the developed business plan and evaluate the achieved sustainability.
Deliverables:
- Submission of timeframe: two weeks from assignment start date.
- Midterm report: Progress to date, logos, preliminary designs, social platforms strategy, as well as recommendations for printing materials.
- Final report that includes the presentation of achieved work as well as suggestions for further marketing plans.
Activities:
- Produce Logo for the Association.
- Branding Material for the Community Kitchen (Brand Logo, Menu Designs – inclusive of illustrations)
- Creation of Social Media Accounts – Creation of Content (photography)
- Designs for packaging (boxes, bags, as required)
- Designs for stickers / labelling
- Submission of Marketing SWOT Analysis for the kitchen
- Produce a presentation on the work implemented.
- Produce a comprehensive report on the findings and recommendations in addition to further marketing ideas to be explored in an advanced phase.
- Produce Video Shooting inclusive of the cooking process at the vicinity of the kitchen.
- Produce Testimonial Video with women benefiting from the project modality.
- Produce Marketing Video that can be used as an advertisement. / Rationale.
Other
- Conduct duties in accordance with IOCC program Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Conduct duties in strict accordance with IOCC Code of Conduct and the principle of confidentiality.
- Ensure transparency and IOCC positive regard and reputation within communities.
This position requires extensive travel between Beirut and Tripoli and will also require participation in focus group discussions involving the community kitchen and IOCC teams.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- At least two years of professional experience, and a University Degree in graphic design.
- Exceptional written and spoken English and Arabic is a must in order to communicate with IOCC and local community.
- Self-motivated individual, able to travel throughout Lebanon
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with demonstrated skills in coordination and conducting interviews.
- Ability to work in a multicultural context and effectively represent IOCC with a broad range of actors.
- Field experience in relation to market assessments, socio-economic or household economy assessments.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Produced different kinds of branding material. (Food industry is a plus)
- Previous work with non-governmental organizations.
Competency profile:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of local NGOs, CSOs and Governmental actors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Punctuality and respect for applicable rules and procedures;
- Ethical and transparent decision-making;
- Computer/IT literacy (OS Windows/Vista/Linux, MS Office, Internet etc.);
- Independent work, i.e. with minimal supervision and under pressure;
- Self-motivation, goal/result-orientation and team work;
- Flexibility, creativeness, tolerance and maturity.
- Expertise or knowledge of livelihood programming
Fees:
The consultant shall be paid 50% upon submission of the midterm report, and another 50% upon approval of the final report.
