The AUB Nature Conservation Center is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Manager for a part-time position to lead and execute the center's communications strategies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility, engagement, and impact of the center's initiatives, projects, and events through effective communication channels. The Communications Manager will be responsible for overseeing social media management, graphic design, developing a comprehensive communication vision, and coordinating collaborative efforts with partners to promote the center's conservation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
Develop, curate, and manage content across various social media platforms and website to raise awareness about the center's activities, projects, and events.
Create engaging and informative posts, stories, and multimedia content that align with the center's objectives, projects and values.
Monitor and analyze social media metrics to assess engagement, reach, and impact, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Graphic Design:
Design visually appealing graphics, posters, visual materials, and outputs that effectively convey the center's messages and initiatives.
Collaborate with team members and external designers to create eye-catching and informative materials for online and offline use.
Communication Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with the center's overall goals and objectives.
Identify key target audiences and tailor messages to resonate with their interests and needs.
Stay updated with communication trends and best practices, and continuously adapt strategies for optimal engagement.
Partnership Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate communication efforts for joint initiatives, projects, and events.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with partners to ensure consistent and aligned messaging.
Event Coordination:
Coordinate communication efforts for the center's events, workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Develop event promotion plans, including pre-event teasers, live coverage, and post-event highlights.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Fluency in English and Arabic, French is a plus.
Proven experience (2 years) in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.
Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling and engaging content.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and establish effective partnerships.
Knowledge about climate change issues, nature conservation and environmental sustainability is a plus.
Working Schedule:
This is a part-time position requiring candidates to be in the office.
